Food for Thought 2/3

Have we been too quick to try to cancel history and numerous axioms which served us well over the past 100 or more years? Have we not derived some benefit and satisfaction from believing and practicing such axioms as “have a stiff upper lip”, abide by “a strong work ethic”, “dot the I’s and cross the T’s”, to be a “Steady Eddie” and “see things through”. Who said that perseverance, discipline, reliability, productivity, teamwork and collaboration were not part of life’s great joys. Why then are we settling for workplace isolation through working at home, lack of team play, quiet quitting and loud quitting. Why is it no longer fashionable to strive for perfect attendance, a reputation for showing great discretion and exhibiting proper work etiquette in the workplace.
