Credentials to Serve
Tim Shaw is the founding principal of MSA Consulting established in Toronto, Ontario, Canada in 1998. Prior to launching MSA Consulting, Tim was a Partner and staff member with two global chartered accounting and management consulting firms for 28 years in both Toronto and Ottawa.
Tim is a FCMC (Fellow of the Association of Certified Management Consultants) and a CPA, CA. He has an MBA from the University of Toronto and a B.A. from Queen’s University in Kingston, Ontario. Tim is originally from Montreal, Quebec.
In 2013, he was named one of approximately 50 recipients of the Golden Jubilee Award from CMC Canada for distinguished service rendered to the profession of Management Consulting in Canada over the Association’s first 50 years (1963 to 2013). Tim is a past president of the Ontario Chapter of CMC Canada.
For more than 30 years, Tim has assisted a wide range of entrepreneurial owner-managed businesses to develop and implement strategic plans and to facilitate solutions to specific management challenges.
For many of his clients, Tim serves as an ongoing management resource and advisor. His continuing regular involvement with a number of clients goes back as far as the early 1990s.
Tim has spent much of the last 20 years converting the essence of winning “Big company” approaches to workable formats for smaller, leaner, more flexible owner-operated entrepreneurial ventures.
Tim’s earliest years of management consulting were spent working with companies of all sizes and numerous public sector organizations, trade and not-for-profit associations.
